You felt left out. It’s not your fault other people lacked love and reflected that onto you. It’s no longer your burden to carry. You are capable of healing. The way they treated you was a reflection of their own pain and sorrow. You’re lucky you had Tia Lupe’s love to nurture and comfort your soul. Imagine how alone you would have felt without her. I know sometimes you feel alone without her now, but know she’s always with you in your heart and mind. She’s with you in the way you carry yourself. I know you were always scared of losing her to death. Death didn’t take away the love you had for one another. You shared a special bond that shed light into your heart. A light that you now get to share with others who were without nurturing mothers. My mom had her own wounds that she put onto me but through her absence it gave me the ability to see that wound in myself and others. Through acknowledgement I can forgive her, myself, and help others through their pain. Dad just wanted to give you the life that he didn’t have. He can’t see the ways you felt without.
