Day 2:
I had an orange this morning & it’s nothing like the one’s from home. It’s nowhere near as sweet. I miss my dogs. This trip will serve to steer me away from social media. & attempt to regain my childhood ability to be daring, Be scared and do things anyways. Also I never knew how much not knowing what time it is bothered me so much. Kept waking all through the night. I’m still not used to the time change. Woke up & got ready & took pictures of the sun rising. Had breakfast w/Michel & Anna. Anna & I had a great conversation about racism/classism in America/Russia/France. It seems that everywhere around the world the rich are keeping themselves rich. We spoke of this as well as gun violence in America. After breakfast I went w/ Michel to learn how to ride a horse for the first time. I was excited but also scared. I think I did okay but my vagina/knees hurt lmao! I think about how Leecha and Dona Mago had fallen off a horse & I was worried. They are strong beautiful creatures. I fell once but it wasn’t too bad I was just a little shaken up but I got back on. Michel says you have to fall 100 times to be a good rider so now I only have 99 more times to go. We came back & I was thankful that Michel lent me his iphone charger so I could reach my family thinking it was still Thanksgiving. It was 4pm here and 10AM in the USA lol so it had already past. I cooked myself dinner (not the best) I had no salt & what I thought were calabazitas were actually zuccinis lmao. Since I had no salt I used the only think I had; soy sauce. It wasn’t that bad. Tomorrow I will tell Michel the hot water in this room is not working properly. The water is tepid at best. Next door where the kitchen is the hot water works perfectly so I think I will just shower there tomorrow morning. It’s only 5:37PM here but I’m exhausted so I’m going to bed now.
