It’s funny b/c in High School Amelia had an assignment where she had to write an essay based on lyrics of a song and try to break down the meaning of the song. She started saying that he was talking about how when love doesn’t go your way it burns you like you’re all hurt over it. I was probably like 16 or something and I was like no he’s talking about how when you fall in love with someone it consumes you; you’re engulfed. She changed the whole direction of her essay. I think I’m just such a romantic that I could see what Bert McCraken was talking about from movies I’d seen. I’ve never caught fire, but songs like this give me an idea of what it’s probably like.
